- Free site surveys to establish level of compliance with the Data Protection Act
- Correctly identify the ‘purpose of the equipment’ being used and register the system with the Office of the Information Commissioner
- Check all existing CCTV equipment and report to the installing company any items, which in the opinion of Datpro Ltd should be replaced, repaired or re-sited to maintain compliance with the Data Protection Act
- The supply of all the relevant documentation including log books and reporting procedure documents to comply with the Data Protection Act, to include any specific requirements of your company.
- Initial training of members of your staff, nominated by you, on the correct operating procedures for your equipment as required by the Data Protection Act
- Issue a Datpro Ltd certificate of compliance, that the system and the operation meets the legal requirements of the Data Protection Act at that time
- New replacement and where required, additional ‘CCTV in operation’ warning signs of the correct size and wording supplied and fitted to comply with the Data Protection Act
- The collection, removal and logging, followed by correct erasure of VCR tapes or other recording media as stipulated by the Data Protection Act
- Supply correctly serialised VCR tapes or other recording media as required by the Data Protection Act
- The supply and installation, where not already fitted, of the correct storage cabinets for the VCR tapes or other recording media as required by the Data Protection Act
- Make available to the client, access to, ‘right of subject access’ editing to include masking of third party identity and production of copy recordings
- Advice of any changes to the Data Protection Act or issues of good practice on an ongoing basis and as they occur
- Make available to the client a telephone helpline to advise, on an ongoing basis, the legal obligations and procedures required, specifically but not limited to, requests for access to information by any individual.
